Saving Money
Why is it important to save money? Because it helps us fulfill our wishes and dreams! When we handle our money wisely and save it, we can buy things we've been saving for a long time. But how can you save money best? Here are seven tips to help you! And remember: Anyone can save, no matter how much money they have. The most important thing is to manage your money wisely and use it purposefully. Have fun saving!
How it works
-
Write down your wishes and hang them on a bulletin board or your piggy bank. When you write down your wishes, you can plan better and it motivates you. For example, you can save for a new scooter to play outside with your friends.
-
Plan your expenses. Think about what you want to spend your money on. How much money you get each week or month and how much you can save. For example, you can put 1 Euro into your piggy bank every week. After a year, you will have saved 48 Euros.
-
Consider whether you really need everything you want to buy. Maybe you can do without some things. For example, you could make your own popcorn or cut vegetable snacks. It's much cheaper and often healthier to make snacks yourself instead of buying them.
-
Compare prices. If you want to buy something, look around and compare prices. Often the same product is available at different prices in other stores. If you find a cheaper price, you save money.
-
Sell things you no longer need. Do you have toys that you don't use anymore? Sell them at a flea market or online marketplace to earn some extra money.
-
Divide your money. If you split your money into several piggy banks, you can plan your expenses better and see how much money you have for each goal. For example, you can have one piggy bank for the scooter, one for the next vacation, and one for other things.
-
Ask your parents, grandparents, or neighbors if you can do tasks around the house or garden to earn extra money. And then reward yourself when you reach your goal. Celebrate your success and be proud of yourself! You did it, you saved money!
