1. General Information and Principles of Data Processing

I am pleased that you are visiting my website. Protecting your privacy and your personal data, the so-called personal data, when using my website is an important concern for me.

Personal data, as defined in Article 4 No. 1 GDPR, refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your first and last name, your address, your telephone number, your email address, but also your IP address.

Processed personal data must be deleted as soon as the purpose of processing has been achieved and no legal retention obligations are to be maintained.

Here you will find information about how your personal data is handled when visiting my website. To provide the functions and services of my website, it is necessary for me to collect personal data about you.

I will also explain to you the nature and scope of the respective data processing, the purpose and corresponding legal basis, and the respective storage duration.

This privacy policy applies only to this website. It does not apply to other websites to which I merely refer through a hyperlink. • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Browser type
  • Language and version of the browser software
  • Operating system

b) Purpose and Legal Basis

This processing is technically necessary to display my website to you. I also use the data to ensure the security and stability of my website.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The processing of the mentioned data is necessary for the provision of a website and thus serves to protect a legitimate interest of my company.

c) Storage Duration

As soon as the mentioned personal data is no longer necessary for displaying the website, it will be deleted. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility for the user to object regarding this aspect. Further storage may occur in individual cases if this is legally required.

a) Nature, Scope, and Purpose of Data Processing

I use cookies. Cookies are small files that are sent by me to the browser of your end device during your visit to my website and stored there.

Some functions of my website cannot be offered without the use of technically necessary cookies. Other cookies, on the other hand, allow me various analyses. For example, some cookies can recognize the browser you use during a subsequent visit to my website and transmit various information to me. I use cookies to facilitate and improve the use of my website. This allows me to make my online offering more user-friendly and effective for you, for example, by tracking your use of my website and determining your preferred settings (e.g., country and language settings). If third parties process information via cookies, they collect the information directly through your browser. Cookies do not cause any harm to your end device. They cannot execute programs and do not contain viruses. Various types of cookies are used on my website, the nature and function of which are explained below.

Temporary Cookies / Session Cookies

My website uses so-called temporary cookies or session cookies that are automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser. This type of cookie allows me to capture your session ID. This makes it possible to assign various requests from your browser to a common session and to recognize your end device during later visits to the website.

Permanent Cookies

My website uses so-called permanent cookies. Permanent cookies are cookies that are stored in your browser for a longer period and can transmit information. The respective storage duration varies depending on the cookie. You can delete permanent cookies independently via your browser settings.

Third-Party Cookies

I use analytical cookies to observe anonymized user behavior on my website. I also use advertising cookies. These cookies allow tracking user behavior for advertising and targeted marketing purposes. Social media cookies enable establishing a connection to your social networks and sharing content from my website within your networks.

Most web browsers are set by default to accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your respective browser to only accept certain cookies or no cookies at all. However, I would like to point out that you may not be able to use all functions of my website if you do so.

Through your browser settings, you can also delete cookies that are already stored in your browser. Furthermore, it is possible to configure your browser to notify you before cookies are stored. Since the various browsers may differ in their respective functionalities, I ask you to use the respective help menu of your browser for the corresponding configuration options.

Deactivating the use of cookies may require the storage of a permanent cookie on your computer. If you subsequently delete this cookie, you will have to deactivate it again.

b) Legal Basis

Based on the described purposes of use, the legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you have given me your consent to use cookies based on a notice provided by me on the website ("cookie banner"), the legal basis is additionally Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

As soon as the data transmitted to me via cookies is no longer necessary for the purposes described above, this information will be deleted. Further storage may occur in individual cases if this is legally required.

d) Categories of Cookies

Necessary Cookies

Necessary cookies help to make a website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.

  • Necessary cookies ensure functions without which my website cannot be used as intended. These absolutely necessary cookies serve, for example, to ensure that a registered user remains logged in when accessing different subpages. These are so-called first-party cookies, which are used only by me. These cookies do not require consent. However, you can deactivate cookies at any time in your browser.

Statistical Cookies

To further improve my offering and my website, I collect anonymized data for statistics and analyses. With the help of these cookies, I can, for example, determine visitor numbers and the effect of certain pages of my online presence and optimize my content.

  • Statistical cookies collect information about how a website is used to improve its attractiveness, content, and functionality. For example, the following data is collected: the number of accesses to a page or subpages, the time spent on the website, the order of visited pages, which search terms led you to me, the country, region, city from which access is made, as well as the proportion of mobile devices accessing my website. Furthermore, it is analyzed which areas of my website are of particular interest to you.

Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors on websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and appealing to the individual user and therefore more valuable for publishers and advertising third parties.

  • Marketing cookies are used to display interest-based advertisements to visitors of the website. They are also used to limit the frequency of ad appearances and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These cookies register whether someone has visited a website or not. The information obtained can be shared with third parties, such as advertisers. Cookies for improving target audience engagement and advertising are often linked to functionalities of third parties.

You can find a complete overview of the cookies I use and their durations here.

5. Data Collection for the Execution of Pre-Contractual Measures and Contract Fulfillment

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

In the pre-contractual area and upon conclusion of a contract, I collect personal data about you. This includes, for example, first and last name, address, email address, telephone number, or bank details.

b) Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

I collect and process this data solely for the purpose of contract execution or to fulfill pre-contractual obligations.

The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. If you have also given consent, the additional legal basis is Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

c) Storage Duration

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of your processing.

In addition, there may be legal retention obligations, such as commercial or tax retention obligations under the Commercial Code (HGB) or the Fiscal Code (AO). If such retention obligations exist, I will block or delete your data at the end of these retention obligations.

6. Order Form

My website has an order form that can be used for electronic pre-orders.

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

My data collection is limited to the following data:

  • First and last name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Account details
  • Name of the product

b) Purpose and Legal Basis

The purpose of data processing is to be able to process your order appropriately.

The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The processing of the data serves the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the execution of a pre-contractual measure that has been requested by the data subject.

c) Storage Duration

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to achieve the purpose of processing.

In addition, there may be legal retention obligations, such as commercial or tax retention obligations under the Commercial Code (HGB) or the Fiscal Code (AO). If such retention obligations exist, I will block or delete your data at the end of these retention obligations.

7. Registration Option

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

You can register on my website. When you register, I collect and store the data you enter in the input mask (e.g., last name, first name, email address). There is no transfer to third parties.

b) Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

Your registration is necessary for the use of certain content and services on my website or for the fulfillment of a contract or for the execution of pre-contractual measures. After registration, you are free to change the personal data provided during registration at any time or to have it completely deleted from the data set of the responsible entity.

The legal basis for processing is, in the case of consent, Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If your registration serves to prepare for a contract conclusion, Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR is an additional legal basis.

c) Storage Duration

The data collected during registration will be stored by me as long as you are registered on my website and will then be deleted. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

8. Data Transmission

I only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

a) You have given your explicit consent according to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

b) this is legally permissible and necessary for the fulfillment of a contractual relationship with you or for the execution of pre-contractual measures according to Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

c) there is a legal obligation for the transfer according to Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

I am legally obliged to transmit data to government authorities, e.g., tax authorities, social security agencies, health insurance companies, supervisory authorities, and law enforcement agencies.

d) the transfer is necessary according to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR to protect legitimate business interests, as well as to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, and there is no reason to assume that you have a predominant legitimate interest in not disclosing your data.

e) I use external service providers as processors in accordance with Article 28 GDPR, who have been obligated to handle your data carefully.

9. Comment Function

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

You can comment on posts on my website. When you comment on a post, I collect and store the data you enter in the input mask. In addition to the comments you leave, information about the time of comment submission and possibly the username (pseudonym) you chose will also be stored and published. Furthermore, the IP address assigned to the affected person by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) will be stored. There is no transfer to third parties.

b) Purpose and Legal Basis

The data you transmit (e.g., the IP address) is collected for security reasons and in case the affected person violates the rights of third parties or posts illegal content through a submitted comment. There is no transfer of this collected personal data to third parties unless such transfer is legally required or serves the legal defense of the entity responsible for processing.

The legal basis for processing the personal data transmitted when using the comment function is, if and to the extent that your consent is present, Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

Another legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

I have a legitimate interest in processing if rights of third parties are violated or illegal content is posted. This serves security in case someone writes illegal content in comments and posts (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.).

c) Storage Duration

The comments and the associated data (e.g., IP address) will be stored and remain on my website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons.

10. Contact Form

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

On my website, I offer you the opportunity to contact me via a provided form. In the course of submitting your inquiry via the contact form, reference is made to this privacy policy to obtain your consent.

The legal basis for processing is consent according to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR based on the declaration of consent you voluntarily provide and can revoke at any time for the future.

c) Storage Duration

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with me until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to exist (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed).

Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods under the Commercial Code (HGB) or the Fiscal Code (AO) – remain unaffected.

11. Contact Options via Email

My website provides you with a contact option via email.

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

You can contact me via email. My data collection is limited to the email address of the email account you use to contact me, as well as the personal data you voluntarily provide during the contact.

c) Storage Duration

The duration of storage of the above-mentioned data depends on the background of your contact. Deletion of your personal data regularly occurs if the purpose of communication ceases to exist and storage is no longer necessary. This may arise, for example, from processing your request.

12. Newsletter

a) Nature and Scope of Data Processing

On my website, there is the option to subscribe to a free regular email newsletter. To send you the newsletter regularly, I need your email address.

For the newsletter dispatch, I use the so-called double opt-in procedure.

This means that I will only send you an email newsletter once you have explicitly confirmed that you consent to the dispatch of the newsletter. I will then send you a confirmation email, asking you to confirm that you want to receive newsletters from me by clicking on a corresponding link.

This ensures that only you can register as the owner of the provided email address for the newsletter. Your confirmation must occur promptly after receiving the confirmation email, otherwise, your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from my database.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect and store the data you enter in the input mask (e.g., last name, first name, email address).

When registering for the newsletter, I also store your IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration to trace any potential misuse of your email address at a later time. In the confirmation email sent for control purposes (double opt-in email), I also store the date and time of the click on the confirmation link and the IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP).

b) Purpose and Legal Basis

The data I collect during newsletter registration is used exclusively for the purposes of advertising communication via the newsletter.

The processing of your email address for newsletter dispatch is based on Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 7 (2) No. 3 UWG on the declaration of consent you voluntarily provide and can revoke at any time for the future.

Additionally, the processing is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR due to my legitimate interests in documenting the required consent.

c) Storage Duration

Your email address will be stored as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing from the newsletter dispatch, your email address will be deleted unless you have explicitly consented to further use of your data.

13. Tracking and Analysis Tools

A precise overview of the web analysis and social media tools I use can be found here.

14. Data Security and Security Measures

I am committed to protecting your privacy and treating your personal data confidentially. To this end, I take extensive technical and organizational security precautions, which are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress.

This includes, among other things, the use of recognized encryption procedures (SSL or TLS). Unencrypted data disclosed, for example, if this is done via unencrypted email, may be read by third parties. I have no influence over this. It is the responsibility of the respective user to protect the data provided by them against misuse through encryption or otherwise.

15. Changes to the Privacy Policy

I reserve the right to update this statement as needed at any time.
