Do you know which animal stays awake in the forest at night while all the others are asleep? That's right, the owl! With its big eyes, it watches everything. How about making your own little owl? And the best part: You only need things you can find in the forest and a few small items from home. Let's get started!

What you'll need

  • pine cones
  • acorn caps
  • googly eyes
  • feathers
  • orange paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • cotton

How it works

  1. Make it fluffy! Push the cotton into the gaps of the pine cone. Feel how soft it gets!

  2. Eyes on! Glue the acorn caps onto the cone and place the googly eyes on top. Now look at your owl!

  3. Hoo, hoo! Cut a small triangle from the paper and glue it as a beak under the eyes. Your owl is almost done!

  4. Now glue some feathers to the sides of the pine cone. This will make your owl look even more real!

  5. There it is – your very own little owl! Show it proudly to your friends and family. Where will it get a special place in your room? And always remember: Your owl is unique, just like you!
