What you'll need

  • 1 tablespoon psyllium seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Tablespoon
  • Food coloring
  • Microwave

How it works

  1. First, gather all your materials together. Take a bowl where you can mix the psyllium husks and water. If you want to color your slime, also have the food coloring ready.

  2. Add one tablespoon of psyllium husks to the bowl. Measure out one cup of water and pour it into the bowl with the psyllium husks. If you like, you can also add a few drops of food coloring. This will make your slime even more colorful and exciting!

  3. Stir the mixture well so that the psyllium husks are evenly distributed in the water. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes so the psyllium can absorb the water.

  4. Now comes the exciting part. If you have a microwave, place the bowl in the microwave for about 3 minutes. If you don’t have a microwave, you can heat the mixture in a small pot on the stove. Make sure to stir it occasionally.

  5. After the mixture has been heated, let it cool down a bit. Be careful, it can be very hot! Wait until the slime has cooled down enough to touch it without burning yourself. Then stir the mixture again until it becomes nice and thick.

  6. Now your slime is ready, and you can play with it! Knead it, stretch it apart, and see how stretchy it is. You’ll feel how great the slime is.

  7. When you’re done playing, you can store the slime in an airtight container. This way, it will stay fresh longer, and you can play with it again later. Have fun crafting and playing with your homemade slime!
