What you'll need
- Ice cubes
- Salt
- String
- Plate or glass
How it works
-
Place the ice cubes in the center of a plate or in a glass.
-
Lay the string over one of the ice cubes.
-
Sprinkle a little salt on the ice cube, right where the string is. Wait a moment.
-
Then try to lift the string. The ice cube should now stick to the string!
-
The salt makes the ice melt a bit. When the ice refreezes around the string, it holds the string tightly. This way, you can lift the ice cube like magic! Give it a try and show your friends this amazing ice magic trick!
