Craft a Jellyfish from a Plastic Bottle

What you'll need
- An empty plastic bottle
- A sharp knife (adult supervision required)
- Tape
- Two googly eyes
- Colorful yarn or tinsel
- String for hanging
- Glue or tape
- A work surface
How it works

Get help from an adult to cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle. Carefully cut off the lower part of the bottle. This part will be the head of your jellyfish. Make sure the edge is not sharp. If it is, cover it with tape so you don't cut yourself.

Glue the two googly eyes onto the cut-off bottom of the bottle. These eyes will make your jellyfish look lively and fun. Press the eyes down well so they don't fall off.

Cut long pieces of colorful yarn or tinsel. Turn the bottle bottom upside down and glue the pieces to the edge of the cut side. These will be the tentacles of your jellyfish. You can make as many tentacles as you like.

Attach a string to the top of the bottle so you can hang your jellyfish. Make a knot that is tight enough to hold the weight. Now you can hang your jellyfish anywhere and let it 'swim' through the air.

Watch the tentacles wiggle and bring your jellyfish to life. Tell your friends and family about your jellyfish's adventures. Where is it swimming? Who does it meet along the way?
