Your Paper Easter Bunny Puppet

Easter is just around the corner, and your very own bunny is ready to hop into action! Step by step, you’ll create your hand puppet from a sheet of paper. You choose the color: bright like an Easter egg or brown like a real bunny? Folding requires patience and precision, which will strengthen your hands and your thinking. Then, you’ll design the face. Happy, curious, or cheeky? Maybe your bunny will hide eggs later or tell a little Easter story. When you put your hand inside, its mouth opens and closes. This way, your bunny can talk. You can play out little scenes, express feelings, and try out ideas. Your Easter hand puppet brings life to your play, and you decide what happens!

What you'll need

  • 1 A4 sheet
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Colored pencils or felt-tip pens
  • Construction paper
  • Googly eyes
  • Pom-pom

How it works

  1. Choose a colorful sheet. What color suits your Easter bunny? Lay the sheet horizontally. Fold it and overlap the long sides slightly, then glue them down.

  2. Fold the roll in half. Press the edge down well. Fold the open sides back again. This will create the mouth.

  3. Cut out ears and teeth. Glue everything on and paint a cheerful bunny face. Tip: Attach googly eyes and a pom-pom for the nose.

  4. Put your hand inside. Open and close the mouth. Let your bunny talk!
