What you'll need
- List of vocabulary words
- Paper and pens
How it works
-
Write each vocabulary word on a separate piece of paper.
-
One of you will be the 'Word Holder'. This person holds the papers with the vocabulary words. The other player is the 'Word Catcher'.
-
Here we go: The Word Holder runs around the house or garden, and the Word Catcher tries to catch them.
-
As soon as the Word Holder is caught, they call out a vocabulary word from the list or show it on a piece of paper.
-
The Word Catcher must say the word out loud and write it down in a designated area on a sheet of paper.
-
The game continues until all words have been used once.
-
At the end of the game, you can also read aloud the words you've written down to practice pronunciation and memorize the spelling.
