Did you know that some turtles can live over 100 years? Some live in the sea, while others are land dwellers. Whether tiny or huge, turtles are always recognized by their shells. The shell protects them when danger approaches. They simply pull in their heads and legs and wait it out. Pretty clever, right? Now imagine... you could bake your own turtles. With shells, heads, feet, all edible. You decide how they look. A colorful turtle with Smarties feet? Or a pink one with googly candy eyes? Anything is possible. Tip: These sweet turtle muffins are a hit at any kids' birthday party. What you'll need

Muffins
Powdered sugar
Food coloring
Bowl and pastry brush
Edible UFOs for shells
Colorful Smarties
Maoam candy
Candy eyes
Spoon

How it works

Bake your muffins using the basic recipe from the app. Important: Let them cool completely first. Otherwise, everything will slide off, and the turtles will end up on their backs.
Put powdered sugar in a bowl and carefully stir in water. Add it spoon by spoon until the icing is thick. Then add a drop of blue food coloring, maybe a little green, just like the sea. Stir well until you have your own turtle water.
Gently dip the muffin top into the sea icing or spread it on with a pastry brush or spoon. Then press a UFO in the center on top; that will be the turtle shell.
Take four Smarties and stick them on the sides of the muffin. Two on the right, two on the left. They are the little turtle feet that will paddle through the icing sea.
Take a round Maoam candy or another chewy candy. Stick it on the front of the muffin. That’s the head. It will stay on with a bit of icing. Press it down well! Finally, place two candy eyes on the Maoam candy.
What you learn: Patience like a turtle. Because if you rush, you'll have to start over more often. Teamwork, one holds, one sticks. And creativity, because no turtle looks like another. You try, you laugh, you solve little problems when something falls. That’s all part of it.
