Nature Diamonds, Little Treasures from the Forest
Imagine going into the forest and finding little treasures: acorn caps! They may look plain, but with a bit of imagination, craft glue, and glitter, you can turn them into sparkling nature diamonds. You can collect, gift, or use your nature diamonds for games. A homemade memory game is especially exciting. Create pairs of identical diamonds. For example, two red, two blue, two with golden glitter. Place them face down on the table and find the pairs. Have fun trying it out!
What you'll need
- Acorn caps
- Craft glue that dries clear
- Glitter
- Optional: Felt-tip pens
How it works
-
Look outside under oak trees for acorn caps. They lie on the ground like little hats. Collect them, as they will become your nature diamonds.
-
Now you can paint the acorn caps with felt-tip pens. The colors will shine through the glue later and give your nature diamonds a great effect.
-
With a brush, apply a thin layer of craft glue inside the acorn cap.
-
Sprinkle glitter into the cap. The glue will hold the glitter grains in place. You can gently shake out any excess glitter.
-
Set the caps aside to dry and wait until the glue is completely dry.
-
Your nature diamonds are ready. Now you can collect them, gift them, or turn them into a game.
