What you'll need

  • Square paper or old paper
  • Glue
  • String for hanging
  • Wooden bead, about 2-3cm
  • Optional: Markers, glitter

How it works

  1. Fold the paper like an accordion. First up, then down. Make sure the lines stay straight. When you're done, you should have a strip that looks like an accordion. Repeat this with the second piece of paper so you have two identical parts.

  2. Now fold the first third of the accordion down. These will be your angel's wings.

  3. Apply glue to the long edges of both pieces of paper. Place a piece of string between the two parts so that the string sticks out at the top. This will allow you to hang the angel later. Press the two pieces of paper firmly together to form a body.

  4. Now glue the wing edges to the sides of the body. Your angel is starting to look like an angel, right? Thread the wooden bead onto the string that sticks out from the top of the angel. If you like, you can draw an angel face on the bead.

  5. Now you can hang it on your Christmas tree, tie it to a gift, or hang it in your room. Maybe you want to make a second angel as a surprise for someone you like? Your angel will surely bring Christmas cheer. Have fun crafting!
