Making a Reed Boat
Can you imagine turning a simple reed leaf into a real boat? With your own hands and a few easy steps, you'll soon be the captain of a small ship!
What you'll need
- Reed leaf
How it works

Grab the reed leaf and fold one end towards you about 5 cm.

In the folded part, make two parallel cuts, about 2 cm long. You should now have three 'strips' at the folded end.

Take the outer ends of the two cuts and weave them together. The ends should now cross over each other, and the leaf should start to take on a boat-like shape.

Turn the reed leaf over and do the same on the other side of the leaf.

Where the ends cross, you have a small hole. Take the end of the leaf and tuck it in there so it stands up like a sail.

Now you have your own reed boat! Give it a name and let it float on a pond or puddle. Who knows what adventures it will have?
