Making a Christmas Star
Together, create a beautiful Christmas star from square tissue paper for your window! While making the star, you'll learn patience, precision, and how much fun it is to create something magical with your hands. So, are you ready? Here’s our exciting crafting guide for the holiday season!
What you'll need
- Square tissue paper
- Glue stick
How it works
-
Take a square piece of tissue paper. Can you see how the light shines through it? It's almost like holding a rainbow in your hands! Now, fold the square in half so it looks like a triangle.
-
Unfold the triangle and see, there's a crease in the middle! Now fold one corner to the center along this crease. Do the same with the other corner. Look! It now looks like a little dragon!
-
Now comes the tricky part. Fold both tips of the paper back to the outer edge.
-
Now fold the opposite tips to the center. It now looks like a little arrow. Do this with 16 pieces of paper.
-
Once you have enough folded arrows, glue the tips together to form a star. Do you see how the individual pieces come together to create a beautiful star? Every piece is important, just like each of you is important.
-
And there you have it, your very own Christmas star! Hang it up where it can catch the light and brighten your room. You can be proud of your artwork!
