What you'll need

  • 600 g flour
  • 210 g salt
  • 1 packet of citric acid
  • 6 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 430 ml boiling water
  • food coloring
  • kneading toys

How it works

  1. First, gather all your ingredients. These are flour, salt, oil, 1 packet of citric acid, boiling water (adults need to help here), and food coloring of your choice!

  2. Mix in a large bowl 600g flour, 210g salt and one packet of citric acid.

  3. Now pour in 6 tablespoons of oil (Caution: risk of burns - adults, this is your part!). And add 430 ml of boiling water.

  4. Now knead everything with a mixer until it looks like dough. Let the mixture cool a bit until it's safe to touch. Then knead it thoroughly until you have smooth dough.

  5. Now it’s time to add color! Choose colors and add a few drops of your desired food coloring to each portion.

  6. Knead the dough well until each color is evenly distributed. You might want to wear gloves so your hands don’t get stained.

  7. Now it's playtime! Get creative! Don't forget to store the dough in an airtight container after playing so it doesn't dry out and you can enjoy it for a long time. Have fun kneading!
