Create a Shadow Head
Hey, artists! Let's dive into the magical world of shadows! Would you like to create your own head as a silhouette? You won't need much. A strong lamp, a chair, black construction paper, a pencil, scissors, and tape to attach the paper to the wall. Admire your personal artwork.
What you'll need
- Black construction paper
- Pencil
- Tape
- Chair
- Flashlight
- Scissors
How it works

Find a suitable place with enough space and attach the construction paper to the wall. Sit on a chair in front of it. Position the lamp so that the profile of the head is cast onto the paper on the wall.

While the child sits on the chair and the shadow falls on the paper, a second person takes a pencil. Carefully draw the outline of the head on the paper. Pay attention to all the contours.

Once the outline is fully drawn, remove the paper from the wall. Use scissors to carefully cut out the head along the drawn lines. Make sure the shape remains recognizable.

Now you have the shadow outline of the head in your hand. You can proudly present your shadow head. Maybe you can hang it on the wall. Have fun!
