Today we have an exciting and colorful experiment for you! You will learn how to transform white tulips into beautiful, vibrant flowers. The experiment is called "Coloring Tulips" and it's a fantastic project. Discover together how the magic of colors works! What you'll need

White tulips
Clear glasses or vases
A pair of scissors
Measuring cup for filling

How it works

Place the clear glasses or transparent vases on your workspace and fill them about two-thirds full with water. Make sure the glasses are large enough for the tulip stems to fit inside.
Now add a few drops of a food color of your choice to each glass. You can use red, blue, yellow, green, or pink, for example. The more drops you add, the stronger the color will be. Stir the water gently to distribute the color well.
Take the white tulips and cut about 2-3 cm off the bottom of the stem with scissors. This helps the tulips absorb the colored water better. It's best to cut the stems at an angle to give them a larger surface area to absorb the water.
Now place one tulip in each of the prepared glasses with colored water. Now it's time to wait and observe!
After a few hours, you will see how the white tulips slowly transform into the colors of the water. The longer the tulips stay in the colored water, the stronger the colors will become.
You can also try different color combinations by mixing two or more food colors in one glass. For example, orange tulips will appear if you mix red and yellow. You can create your own unique color creations.
After seeing how the tulips change color, you can also experiment with other flowers or plants. Try out how daisies, roses, or gerberas behave when placed in colored water. Have fun experimenting!
