How it works
-
Do you want a spooky pumpkin? A ghost? Or maybe a witch on her broom? You can easily print out the templates or, if you feel like it, draw something yourself.
-
Now it's time to get colorful! Think about which colors fit your motif. A pumpkin is usually orange, but who says it can't be pink or blue? Your picture, your rules! Look at the areas you want to color and think about which colors go well together.
-
Before you start coloring, take a moment to look closely at your picture. Where do you want to start? Sometimes it's easier to begin with the larger areas and then work your way to the smaller details.
-
To make your picture even livelier, you can work with shading. This means that you color some areas a bit darker and others lighter. For example, if you're coloring a pumpkin, you can make one side lighter as if the light is coming from there.
-
Also, think of a story for the characters you are coloring. What is the pumpkin doing on Halloween night? What’s going on with the ghosts floating over the graveyard? Tell the story to your friends or write it down. This will make your picture even more lively.
-
Once your picture is finished, you’ve done a great job! Now you can be proud of it and hang it up. Choose a spot where everyone can see it. Maybe on the window or on your room door.
-
Have fun coloring and enjoy a spooky beautiful Halloween time!
