Easter Fried Egg from Modeling Clay

How it works

Modeling clay is a bit like play dough, but it hardens when it dries. Take a piece and roll it into a ball.

Flatten it with your hand. This will create a fried egg shape. Don’t press too hard, or it will become too thin and break later. A fried egg has a somewhat irregular shape. Do it just like that!

Now you need a hole for hanging. Take a wooden skewer or a straw and carefully poke a hole in it. It should be big enough for a string to fit through later.

Now it’s time for patience! Let the fried eggs dry well. Depending on the modeling clay, this can take 24 to 48 hours. Take yellow paint and make a round spot in the middle. Let the paint dry.

Take a glossy varnish and brush it over the fried eggs. The varnish protects your decoration and makes it more durable.
