What you'll need

  • Maple leaves

How it works

  1. Go outside and look for maple trees. Collect plenty of bright, beautiful maple leaves. Make sure to gather the leaves with stems, as we will need them later.

  2. Once you have enough leaves, carefully separate the stems from the leaves. Please be very gentle, we don't want to tear any leaves.

  3. Take each leaf and bend it about in the middle. Do this with all your leaves.

  4. Now take a stem and thread it through the bent ends of two leaves, like a pin. Repeat this until you have a long chain of leaves.

  5. When your leaf chain is long enough to fit around your head, take the last and first leaf and connect them with another stem.

  6. Now you have a stunning maple crown! Congratulations, you are now proud Maple Kings and Queens! Have fun playing in nature!
