Create a colorful flower tree from an old cardboard box! This project is not only fun but also a great way to learn about the importance of recycling. What you'll need

Old cardboard
Scissors or knife
Bookbinding foil
Or transparent tape
Optional pencil for sketching

How it works

Take an old cardboard box and draw the outline of a frame on it. Also, draw the outline of a tree trunk. Then cut out the frame and the trunk so you have a nice shape that looks like a tree in a frame.
Cut out a piece of bookbinding foil that is large enough to completely cover the back of your cardboard frame. Stick the bookbinding foil with the sticky side onto the back of your cardboard frame, so that the trunk and the frame are covered.
Go outside and collect beautiful flowers, leaves, and other natural materials. Glue the flowers and leaves onto the foil. They will serve as leaves and blossoms for your tree. Be creative!
