Color Oil Game
Are you ready for a new, super creative, and relaxing game? With this exciting experiment, you can learn how oil and water behave and how colors mix. It's thrilling and a lot of fun. Let's get started!
What you'll need
- Water
- Glasses
- Paper and pens or a template
- Pipettes
- Food coloring or watercolors
- Wooden skewer
- Oil
- Brush
- Plastic sleeve
How it works
-
Gather all the materials you need: plastic sleeve, oil, water, food coloring, a pipette (or a small spoon), and a wooden skewer. Also, get the template with the pre-drawn containers or draw some glasses on a piece of paper yourself.
-
Place the template inside the plastic sleeve. Spread a little oil on the plastic sleeve.
-
Take a few small glasses and fill them with water. Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup and stir the water well until it's nice and colorful. You can try mixing different colors to get great shades.
-
Now take the pipette or small spoon and let the colored water drop onto the oiled plastic sheet. Watch how the drops stay on the sheet.
-
Now it gets really exciting! Take the wooden skewer and draw the drops into the glasses on your template. Carefully push the drops into the containers with the skewer and watch how they spread in the glasses. You can also connect them to create cool shapes.
-
Experiment with how big and small drops behave and how you can connect them to make great pictures. You can also try creating different patterns and shapes by moving the drops in various ways.
-
When you're done, you can simply wipe the plastic sheet clean and reuse it. So, get to the colors and let's go! Have fun experimenting and being creative!
