How it works

Fill the jar with water. Get the cookie cutter and cinnamon powder ready and prepare for something magical.

Gently sprinkle cinnamon on the surface of the water. Make sure the powder is spread as evenly as possible. The cinnamon stays on the surface of the water.

Now take your cookie cutter and press it into the water! Be careful to slowly dip it in and pull it out again. And now watch closely: the cutter stays dry! The cinnamon has formed a 'protective layer' around the cutter, preventing the water from actually touching it.

Cinnamon has a special property. It floats on the water because it is light and water-repellent. When you dip the cookie cutter, the cinnamon wraps around it and creates a sort of air shield. The cutter stays dry because the water doesn't really touch it. Exciting!
