Carrot Pulling

🎂 3 + years ⏱️ 15 min 📍 Anywhere ⭐ easy

Carrot pulling is not only a lot of fun but also an exciting strength game. Imagine you are strong carrots rooted deep in the ground. You all lie on your stomachs in a circle and hold hands tightly. This way, you form a strong, inseparable circle. But there is also the gardener. One of you, who is not in the circle. The gardener has a very special task. He tries to pull each carrot (that is, each child) out of the circle one by one. So, play carrot pulling together and have a great time. Be ready to test your strength and show how strong you are as a team. Have fun!

How it works

  1. Lie on your stomach in a circle and hold hands tightly. This way, you become the "carrots" rooted in the ground. One child is chosen to be the "gardener". The gardener stands outside the circle.

  2. At a starting signal, the gardener tries to pull one "carrot" (a child) out of the circle by gently pulling on their legs.

  3. The children lying in the circle try to hold on as tightly as possible and not let go. The gardener can only pull one "carrot" at a time and must be careful to avoid injuries.

  4. If the gardener succeeds in pulling out a "carrot", that child joins the gardener, and together they try to pull out the next "carrot".

  5. The game continues until all "carrots" have been pulled out of the circle or until a predetermined time limit is reached.

  6. The game ends when all "carrots" have been pulled out of the circle or the time runs out. The gardener wins if he manages to pull out all the carrots, or the carrots win if there are still some left in the circle when time runs out.
