Bean Magic at the Window
Transform a small bean into a big plant, all with a magical window as your secret lab. Watching them grow will be really exciting. Let’s get started!
What you'll need
- Beans
- Cotton
- Water
- Window with sunlight
- Clear plastic sheet
- Double-sided tape
- Scissors
How it works
-
Take the clear plastic sheet and cut it in half to stick it to your window. This will be the bed for your magic beans. Make it cozy with a soft layer of cotton.
-
Beans sleep deeply in their dry form. Carefully place them on the cotton bed you created at your window. Make sure each bean has its own space to spread out. Then cover them with another piece of cotton and spray them with water.
-
Every day, you need to visit your beans and ensure the cotton is always slightly damp. You will see the magic beans starting to grow roots and little green bean plants sprouting. It’s like they are waving at you!
-
When your plants are big enough (you'll know when it's time because they will almost be outgrowing their bed!), it's time to transplant them into a pot with soil. There, they will have more space to grow into big, strong plants.
-
When it's warm and frost-free outside, find a sunny spot in the garden or on the balcony for your beans. They need plenty of light and a little protection from the wind. Dig a hole, place your plant in, and cover the roots with soil. Don’t forget to water them.
-
Make sure the soil around your beans is always a little damp. Watch them grow bigger, get flowers, and then produce real beans! Soon you can pick your beans and maybe even cook a bean dish.
-
What an adventure, from the magic window to the garden! Have fun!
