Everywhere you look, there are little treasures: colorful leaves, pine cones, acorns. Have you ever looked closely at an acorn? It has a smooth, brown ball with a little cap on top, almost like a hat! You can collect these little caps and create your own memory game. A game you can design all by yourself. Found outside, played at home. The acorn memory game is not just a great autumn activity. It sharpens your memory and your eye for colors and patterns. You learn to observe closely and remember things. And while crafting, you train your patience, concentration, and dexterity.

What you'll need

Many acorn caps
Various acrylic paints
Craft glue
A crafting surface

How it works

Go outside and look for acorn caps. Make sure they are intact and have no cracks. Count them and pair them up. This way, you'll know how many memory pairs you can create.
Now it's time for some color! Choose a few acrylic paints. Paint two acorn caps the same way. For example, two red, two blue, two with dots, two with stripes. You decide how your memory game will look.
Once the paint is dry, it's time for the craft glue. Apply the glue only inside, in the shell. The clear glue dries transparent, giving a nice shiny effect.
Let everything dry well. Then, let's get started! Place all the caps with the painted side down on the table or floor. Turn over two at a time. If they match, you can keep them. If not, turn them back and remember where they are.
This game is perfect for training your memory. You need calm, concentration, and a good overview. And when you play with others, you learn to be fair and to be happy when someone else wins.
