Making a Tulle Skirt

What you'll need
- A lot of tulle
- Elastic band
- Scissors
- Sewing needle and thread
- Measuring tape

Before you start crafting, measure your waist to determine the length of the elastic band. The elastic should fit comfortably but not be too loose.

Decide how long you want your tulle skirt to be. Use this measurement to determine the length of your tulle strips. Remember, you will fold the tulle in half to tie it around the elastic, so double the measured length.

Cut the tulle into strips. Each strip is like a burst of color in your skirt.

Take a tulle strip and tie it around the elastic band. Keep going until the elastic is full of tulle strips. You can alternate colors for a really vibrant effect.

Measure the elastic band so that it fits comfortably around your waist. If necessary, have an adult help you sew it together carefully to hold it.
