Making a Maple Leaf Basket

Go outside and find a maple leaf with a long stem. The leaf should be large and soft enough for you to fold it easily. Make sure the leaf is hole-free.

Take both sides of the leaf and fold them towards the center so they meet at the tip. Be careful not to tear the leaf.

Bend the stem into an arch that is big enough to serve as a handle for your basket. Gently push the stem through the leaf from the outside in, right where you folded the sides of the leaf to the tip.

Shape the basket. Ensure the stem is secure and the basket is stable. If you want, you can further decorate your basket. You can use small flowers or colorful ribbons.
