Homemade Christmas Punch for Kids
Kids' punch is a drink that instantly brings Christmas to mind. It smells warm, sweet, and a bit like cookies. You can make it yourself, and it's fun. You'll learn to mix ingredients, be patient, and be careful because the pot gets hot. You decide how many orange slices to add. You can see them floating in the juice. Cinnamon sticks and cloves give the punch a festive aroma. Kids' punch is also a feeling: you make it not just for yourself but for people you like. For mom, dad, siblings, or friends. It feels great when everyone says, 'Wow, this tastes amazing!' And then you realize: kids' punch warms not just your belly but also your heart.
What you'll need
- 1 liter apple juice
- 1 liter grape juice
- Oranges or mandarins (a few slices)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 6 cloves
- 2 star anise
- Pot
- Knife
- Cutting board
- Spoon for stirring
- Cups for drinking
How it works
-
Carefully pour 1 liter of apple juice and 1 liter of grape juice into a large pot.
-
Slice the oranges or mandarins. Add the slices along with 2 cinnamon sticks, 6 cloves, and 2 star anise to the pot. Stir once.
-
Turn the stove to low heat. The juice should warm up but not boil. Let the punch steep for 10-15 minutes. Take a sniff, it smells like Christmas! An adult must be present while heating.
-
Pour the punch into a cup. Blow on it briefly so it's not too hot. Cheers to Christmas!
