What you'll need

  • Shells
  • Watercolors
  • Brushes
  • Paint cups
  • Googly eyes
  • Tinsel or yarn
  • Glue or tape

How it works

  1. First, choose a beautiful shell. Take your watercolors and brush. Paint the shell in bright colors. You can use your favorite colors. Let your imagination run wild! Once you're done, let the shell dry completely.

  2. After the paint has dried, stick the two googly eyes onto the shell. Make sure they are secure. This will bring your jellyfish to life. Now it can look at you!

  3. Now it gets really exciting. Take the colorful yarn or tinsel. Cut several pieces about 15 to 20 cm long. These will be the tentacles of your jellyfish. Turn the shell over and glue the yarn or tinsel to the underside of the shell.

  4. Once everything is dry, you can hold your jellyfish up and let it 'swim'. Move it through the air and watch how the tentacles wiggle. Maybe you can even come up with a little story about your jellyfish. What is its name? Where does it live? Does it have friends?

  5. With your homemade jellyfish, you can have many adventures and let your imagination run free. Have fun crafting and playing!
